Advertising Sales Representative
A Beverly Consulting client is seeking a professional, energetic, dynamic, self-motivated Advertising Sales Representative for their local media publications.The Advertising Sales Representative will prospect and close new display advertising daily, participating in all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to cold calling to conducting needs assessments, assembling and presenting proposals, and designing award-winning annual campaigns. The Sales Representative will maintain, fulfill and service accounts with a strong digital and social media component.
The successful candidate should have a proven ability to close new business daily and meet revenue projections, as well as a passion for and familiarity with print media, online publishing, advertising, and social media technologies. Proficiency in SalesForce.com, PowerPoint, and InDesign; media advertising and/or outside sales experience; a strong network of local client and agency contacts; experience building and selling successful annual media/advertising campaigns; and an aptitude for social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest) highly preferred. Evening and weekend availability is expected for events, promotions, networking, and community involvement, as needed. Ability to recruit and manage a sales team a plus, as this position has the potential to develop into a Sales Manager role.
