Quality Control Supervisor
Beverly Consulting client in beautiful south-central Kentucky is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for their facility. As an integral part of the Technical Services team, the Quality Control Supervisor will work directly with Operations, Product Development, and Laboratory departments to maintain the quality control process for all products while directing the activities off the off-shift Quality Assistants. While working within the Laboratory environment, the Quality Control Technician will perform tests on products manufactured by an organization to ensure quality standards for the products are met.
The Quality Control Supervisor will direct the Quality Team in effective performance by determining accountabilities; maximizing efficiencies, and ensuring accurate results; develop evolving Training Plan for the Quality Team and ensure adequate training of all new and existing employees to ensure maximum performance; and supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in inspecting incoming materials, in-process product, and finish products to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specifications. Additionally, he or she will effectively perform, approve and/or oversee quality control inspections of Dispersion Department production to include yield, color match, verification, viscosity tests, etc as per product line requirements; expedite daily production output by assuring timely flow of all quality control checks and corrections through lab to meet bottling requirements; ensure accurate disbursement of all finalized batch tickets to the appropriate locations; ensure completion of daily quality control inspections as required in Filling Departments, to include fill level, product contamination, cap/lid torque, label positioning, label quality, batch code, and overall package appearance; and ensure routine quality control inspections in POP, Packaging, International Labeling and Label Production. He or she will develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation; effectively communicate and document all major quality problems to respective individuals and ensure closure on resolution; accurately log all pertinent information regarding all paint batches submitted to the lab for approval; file and maintain all records returned to the lab pertaining to products manufactured by the company; and implement accurate process flow changes and process improvements based on need or new information.
Candidates should have formal education in Quality Control Processes, as well as 5 years’ proven experience in Quality Control (liquid
manufacturing preferred) and 2 years’ proven experience in Quality Supervision. Additionally, candidates should have the ability to successfully complete designated selection assessments to include Farnsworth Color Variation Assessment; work independently and as a team in a fast-paced work environment; lead and resolve problems on a professional level; and hold confidential information. Proven experience with Microsoft Office products, strong figure aptitude and attention to detail, including the ability to use math skills, weights and measures where precision and interpretation are required, and demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal communication are required. $50 – 60K plus benefits.
